Madness index

[PG-13] Kissing, cuddling, and erotic touches.

Introduction

This story explores how an asexual Holmes might react to learning that Watson is in love with him. I've read a little bit about asexuality, and apparently some asexuals can still feel emotional/romantic love for sexual people.

Like my sleepwalking sketch, this story has two different endings. The first version is the typical way that I've seen asexual fics end, while the second version is a longer, more complicated ending that might be more realistic. I'm not sure. It's up to you to decide which one you like.

The story is set in late April 1895, and it is still a work-in-progress.

Madness

one of Cress's infernal sketches

Normally the story text would go here. However, since Madness is so long, even for a sketch/unfinished work, I've broken it up into parts that are linked to this index, and to each other:

Madness, part 1
Madness, part 2
Madness, part 3
Madness, part 4
Madness, part 5
Madness, part 6
Madness, part 7
Madness, part 8
Madness, part 9
Madness, part 10
Madness, part 11
Madness, part 12

Comments

Now there's a guestbook from which I will copy the comments on the slash fiction. Sample comments would look like this:

I love this sketch, and certainly hope you'll continue it. I'm also really glad you looked into asexuality, because it seems more probable that Holmes is just that. (That's always been my opinion anyway.) But, I hope you finish this one. I don't mind the typical "sexual" slash, but much prefer this kind. It is true that some asexuals still feel romantic/emotional love, I'm so glad you pointed this out! And I'm very excited to read about the implications of compromise which, as you said, are a huge obstacle in sexual/asexual pairings. Right now, I love how Holmes is so tender with Watson, it's absolutely endearing. All in all, I really like where this is going, and it serves as a good test for you to write about this topic in this situation (as it is sadly very neglected). I love it though, please continue!
